Linking Futures offers a range of support to young people.

At the heart of the approach is the mentoring support. Each young person is assigned a personal mentor who will provide the support and encouragement to enable young people to lead successful and fulfilled lives. Mentoring support can last up to 12 months and is usually for at least 2 hours per week.

Mentors will help young people to overcome barriers in their lives and progress closer to the workplace. Linking Futures is fortunate to have a dedicated team of volunteer mentors who are trained and have undergone a recent enhanced DBS check.

The mentoring support is complimented by a range of short-term coaching interventions delivered by an experienced staff team. Coaching interventions focus on self-care and personal development and they centre around the following topics.

  1. Dealing with Life’s up and Downs

  2. Taking a Moment

  3. Healthy Living

  4. Positive Networks

  5. Positive Thinking

  6. Employability Skills (part 1)

  7. Employability skills (part 2)

  8. Life skills (optional)

  9. The Way Forward
